If you’ve shopped around for kilts and accessories online, you’ve probably seen several low priced shops with similar (but poorer quality) products. I would like to take this opportunity to point something out to the first time buyer… many of those products are NOT made in the UK / USA, but are in fact made in China and / or the Middle East.
Please note: There is nothing inherently wrong with products made in China or the Middle East. However, our point of view is that we want to support the culture that we are perpetuating and promoting. In other words, since we’re selling products that are “Celtic” in nature, we believe that the products we sell should be made in “Celtic” countries.
When you are going to purchase a product, please do not hesitate to contact the company and directly ask them where the product you intend to purchase was made (and expect a “run around” type answer). At USA Kilts, we will gladly tell you that all of our products are made in Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales, Canada and the USA. All of our kilts are made in the USA with materials from Scotland and England. We PROUDLY support fair trade practices and promoting Celtic traditions by offering products made in Celtic countries by Celtic artisans.
We want our customers to rest assured knowing that when they purchase something from USA Kilts, they are not only getting the best products we can offer at a price that’s affordable, but that they are supporting the culture that they are so proudly promoting.
