This black leather kilt belt is 2.25" wide.  The inner attachment is VELCRO, not the "small strap and buckle"... this assures that the "inner buckle" (like some other kilt belts have) won't damage your kilt. This high quality belt is 100% top grade leather and made in the UK.  It also features a celtic knot work embossing.

Please note:  The LARGEST size belt we have will accommodate a size 54" waist.  Larger belts are available upon special request for an additional charge... please call us to order a bigger belt.  610.948.4110

    I was in USA Kilts storefront and looked at their kilt belts. I was surprised at the quality of the belt for $40. I had a kilt belt ON that I bought elsewhere for $39.95. The leather on my belt felt cheap in comparison. I ended up buying this belt and giving my other one to my younger brother. (Posted on 11/11/11)

The kilt belt is a “different animal” from a regular jeans belt. To attach a kilt belt, start with the end of the belt without the metal ‘D’. Slide the tapered end of the belt through the backside of the buckle with the corresponding metal bridge. Double the belt back on itself and attach the Velcro (or small strap and roller buckle) to itself. Now, the “hook end” of the buckle will be able to attach to the ‘D’ end of the belt. Adjust the kilt belt’s size by doubling the belt back on itself more or less until you get it to the proper size.
Measure around your waist the same place you would for a kilt’s waist measurement. Give us that measurement in inches and we'll provide you with a kilt belt that will fit.
When a kilt belt is worn is a personal preference to a degree, but there are certain situations where it is “less appropriate”. One such situation is when wearing a dress sporran. When the dress sporran is worn, you do not typically wear a kilt belt. When you wear a waistcoat (i.e. vest) with a Semi Dress sporran, you can wear a kilt belt, or you can go without. Rocky personally wears a kilt belt for all occasions, except where a dress sporran is required.
