These hose are knit in the US and will be custom made just for you! We'll need a swatch of your cloth (or the name of the mill and weight of the cloth) for color matching purposes.
The pair of hose in the picture at the top of this page have the following specs:

Price Value Quality Received two pair of these hose this week to match Isle of Skye and Caledonia tartans. Color match for Skye tartan was ok but not as close as I had desired. Skye has some subtle color combinations, so I understand. Color match for Caledonia was spot on perfect. Sizing was perfect and quality of workmanship outstanding. The pricing is extremely reasonable. I was told turnaround time would be about 8 weeks. They got here in 2 weeks which was fantastic. USA Kilts is outstanding in service. The only negative is the fiber used. These socks are very very itchy. Surely there are softer wool blends out there in a sufficient range of colors to use. We will need a small piece of your tartan to ensure these hose match your kilt. If you do not have any pieces of cloth from your kilt, but DO know what mill the cloth came from and what weight the cloth is, we can gladly obtain a swatch from the mill for you for $5. This way, the knitter can ensure a proper color match.
Using a cloth tape measure (or a retractable metal one in a pinch, though not quite as good), please take the following measurements in inches:
1. Length of the foot (while standing) from heel to toe. You must be standing when taking this measurement as putting your body weight on your feet will cause the length of your foot to change by about 1/4 to 1/2".
2. The height from the floor under your heel to the top of where you want to wear the hose. Typically, the hose are worn (turned down) 2" to 3" below the kneecap.
3. The circumference of your calf at the widest point. This is usually 5" to 6" below your kneecap.
4. The circumference of your ankle at the skinniest point.
5. The circumference of the ball of your foot (while standing). As in measurement 1, this must be taken while standing as putting your body weight on your foot expends this measurement a bit.
Kilt hose are typically worn pulled up, with the top stopping about 2 to 3" below the bottom of the kneecap. Also, note that they are "turned over" at the top. Elastic garters, called "flashes", are typically worn under the turned over top section to help keep the hose from falling down.
