Our "5 Yard Wool" kilt is a cross between our "Semi Traditional" model and our "Premier" model. It’s constructed the same way as our Semi Traditional kilt, but it’s made from wool, like our Premier. We can make this kilt in ANY of the stock wool tartans shown in our extensive “13 - 16 oz Wool Tartan Gallery” found to the right on this page.  Included are thousands of tartans, including:  Scottish Clan tartans, District & Fashion (i.e. Universal) tartans, Irish tartans and Welsh tartans.

This model kilt is constructed from 5 yards (bigger guys may use 6 yards) of the finest worsted wool woven in the UK. Each kilt is individually tailored to the measurements provided to insure a proper fit.  It features a tapered and fringed front apron, approximately 16 – 26 pleats (each about an inch wide) and a triple buckle closure system. It also comes with 2 belt loops (4 inches tall) on the back of the kilt to accommodate a traditional kilt belt.

Please measure carefully. Since these are custom-made to fit, you will need to be sure of the exact sizing. We can not refund in the case of mistakes in measuring.
