USA Kilts “Semi Traditional” kilts are the kilts that will wear well at weddings, highland games, concerts, dinners, events, or anytime that you feel the need to dress a bit more authentically... or you can wear them with a T Shirt!

Our Semi Traditional kilts are ALL custom made to your measurements. This model generally has 18- 30 pleats (.75 to 1 inch wide) and a triple buckle closure system. Each one comes with tapered hips and is made to your measurements to ensure a proper fit. They come with 2 belt loops (4 inches tall) on the back of the kilt to accommodate a traditional kilt belt and have a tapered and fringed front apron. The Semi Traditional kilts are all hand pleated with an exacting standard to either the Sett or the Stripe.

Like the Casual, our Semi Traditional kilts are made from Poly Viscose, which is an 11 oz machine washable fabric. The PV material we buy is coated with Teflon, so you don’t have to worry about spilling things on it. These tartans are all registered with the Scottish Tartans Authority.

Please Note: While there are no real rules about what tartans people are “entitled” to wear, if you are more comfortable wearing a “Universal Tartan” that was specifically designed for everyone, we’ve marked them with a ** beside the tartan names in the “Tartan Gallery”.

Please measure carefully. Since these are custom-made to fit, you will need to be sure of the exact sizing. We can not refund in the case of mistakes in measuring.
