Product Description
Many of our ancestors had to travel far across the Atlantic Ocean to start a new life, here in the western hemisphere. That voyage took months and was filled with danger and uncertainty. We proudly offer a kilt pin to pay homage to that journey and to those brave men, women and children who traveled in search of a better life for their families.
Each one of these pins features a ship with the crest from different Irish counties boldly guiding the journey on the main sail. If you hover your mouse over the thumbnail images, it will show you the name of the county and a larger image of that ship. Every one was hand cast by an artisan here in the USA and was crafted from lead free pewter.
Currently, this collection is limited to select counties, but we will be adding more as they become available. If there is a county you are looking for specifically and it's not shown here, please email us and we can check the planned release date.

Price Value Quality I bought this kilt pin as I was looking for a more "Irish oriented" item to wear with my formal kilt outfit. I apparently had my standard set too low as I was blown away by the quality of craftsmanship that this pin has! If you are thinking about purchasing this pin, you will not be disappointed. Quality Price Value I love the idea behind this. When I finally traced my family back to a specific county, I made the purchase.
Like other's have said the weight and size are great. I do wear it a little higher because of the nontraditional shape. The fastener and body are solidly built and the detail is superb (there may be variation depending on the county).
All in all it may be my new favorite pin for quite some time. (Posted on 2/4/2022) - Outstanding workmanship Mickey D

Price Value Quality I bought this to do away with the typical, sword-type, kilt pin, and I'm not disappointed. It's a bigger piece than I thought, and the quality is top notch. Also, I thought it would be nice to go with my new, coming soon, County Cork kilt, as this is where my grandfather was born. Don't think you'll be upset with this purcahse. Quality Price Value Got the Sligo County ship as a birthday gift (I had been eyeing it and my wife took notice) I was shocked at the quality and weight. The picture does not do it justice. Looks great on my kilt and I get asked about it often. Thanks for a great product. (Posted on 4/8/2021) - The service is fast and the employees are friendly Charlie

Price Value Quality The pin is outstanding in quality and detail. I appreciated the chance to pick one specifically from Donegal, home of my 2nd and 3rd great-grandfathers who emigrated to the States in 1848. (Posted on 1/31/2019) - Love it Babs

Buyers Guide
The Kilt pin is worn on the lower right corner of the kilt’s apron (above the wearer’s right knee). Typically, the pin is positioned about 5” up from the bottom of the kilt (the bottom of the pin is 5” up) and about 2” in from the right edge of the front apron. Please note that it does NOT pin multiple layers of cloth together… it only goes through the front apron. -

Fun Facts
If you don’t want to lose your kilt pin, try this… carefully poke the pin through the front apron of your kilt. With the pin sticking out the underside, stab the pin through a rubber band (usually a wide rubber band is easier). You can trim the rubber band so that you only use a little square. Then, poke the pin through the front apron again and close the clasp. If the clasp comes undone, the kilt pin will be held by the rubber band and won’t fall off.
