Beautiful and well made. (Posted on 9/17/2019)
    Beautiful kilt pin  Rascal
I haven't had a chance to wear this pin yet (because I'm loving my Fenrir pin so much still). It's beautiful, well made, and I expect it to last a long time. I've got more kilts on order and normally leave pins on until time to clean them so I expect I'll be wearing it a lot soon! Can't wait! (Posted on 8/20/2019)
    A fascinating item!  GAlan
This is really a beautiful kilt pin. And the intricate design is fascinating. A Celtic motif from the Book of Kells; it definitely attracts attention. I have a kilt belt buckle of a very similar theme, so this pin was a must have. Overall, this is a quality item, and I am very pleased with it. (Posted on 11/11/2018)

Modern design yet Classical at the Same Time!  Steve C
The Zoomorphic Bird Kilt Pin, made in Scotland by Pewtermill Crafts, takes its design from illustrations in the Book of Kells. So while the piece has its roots in antiquity, the modernity of the abstract design of a bird is appealing as well. There are also elements of Celtic knot-style design throughout the piece. This pewter kilt pin has a nice polished appearance and carries a certain amount of heft, good for when you need a little counterweight when the wind is blowing. Solid hinge and clasp on the back. Whether viewed as traditional or modern, this eye-catching design is a welcomed addition to any kilt and outfit. (Posted on 1/1/2018)

  • Buyers Guide

The Kilt pin is worn on the lower right corner of the kilt’s apron (above the wearer’s right knee). Typically, the pin is positioned about 5” up from the bottom of the kilt (the bottom of the pin is 5” up) and about 2” in from the right edge of the front apron. Please note that it does NOT pin multiple layers of cloth together… it only goes through the front apron.

  • Fun Facts

If you don’t want to lose your kilt pin, try this… carefully poke the pin through the front apron of your kilt. With the pin sticking out the underside, stab the pin through a rubber band (usually a wide rubber band is easier). You can trim the rubber band so that you only use a little square. Then, poke the pin through the front apron again and close the clasp. If the clasp comes undone, the kilt pin will be held by the rubber band and won’t fall off.
