Value Quality Price This is very nice to look at, there is a lot going on in the design yet not enough to make your eyes "overwhelmed" or travel too much. The ones I have seen at festivals are kinda ugly in some cases. I believe the density of the metal is good/not fragile. Price Value Quality Simple and lightweight plaid brooch. As noted in another review the pin has a dull point. I have not tried working it through any my fly plaids, yet. I look forward to wearing it when I can find an appropriate formal occasion. Or just dress up at home and take pictures.

Price Value Quality I purchased the antique finish version of this plaid brooch. It is somewhat lighter weight than expected, and the details appear somewhat snallower than I expected, at least up close. Price Value Quality Good quality and very nice looking. My only question is about the pin part itself. It's very large and blunt. Is it actually supposed to go through the sash or just around the fabric? The videos of wearing it look like the brooch would be pinned through the sash, but honestly, I don't see how you would get that through the fabric.
[ADMIN NOTE: Yes, you poke the pin through the cloth. If you hold the cloth against the tip of the pin and twist the pin back and forth while pushing the pin through the cloth, it shouldn't be an issue. ] (Posted on 10/19/2016) - Very attractive addition to the sash we purchased from here. HC
