Product Description
Our Lewis hose are our most comfortable pair of hose by far since they're made from a blend of 85% Merino wool & Acrylic / 10% Nylon / 5% Lycra. They have contemporary style, featuring Celtic Cables on the cuff.
They are made with a fully reinforced foot, which not only adds to the comfort when wearing, but significantly extends the life of the hose. Most socks wear out first in the heel and toe, so the reinforced foot helps keep wear and tear at bay, making these hose a smart investment.
These hose also stretch a bit more in the cuff, so they're better for guys with slightly larger than average calves, fitting up to a 19" calf comfortably.

Price Value Quality These are not your run of the mill kilt hose. The stitching quality is superb and the feel while wearing them is amazing. They look much like the hand sewn models from mid-calf up. I have only one "negative" point regarding these hose, the manufacturer claim ease of care in the wash. Even with strict adherence to their washing instructions, expect some slight shrinkage, but not to the point whereas you should buy a larger size. Overall, this is a fantastic product. Value Quality Price These socks are crazy soft! I own just about every style of sock USAkilts sells, including a pair of those hand knitted hose from the Isle of Arran and as CLASSY and smart as those are, these socks are extremely soft and comfortable. I feel these are expensive but USAKilts price is competitive and honestly I'll probably not waste time on any other brand of sock. (Posted on 1/16/2016) - $50 socks ! Gregor

Value Quality Price Good wool socks. If they were $39 instead of $49 I'da bought more. I buy them a size larger. They are wool and sooner or later someone isn't gonna be paying attention and throw them in the dryer with the with the cheap socks. Value Quality Price I ordered these hose when I ordered my Sporran. I knew I was taking the chance that they wouldn't fit right but I figured I would take the shot and have them sent along with the Sporran so I would save myself the trip the brick and mortar location. I should have gone right to the store. When reading the reviews by other buyers I figured that they might fit me being the next truck size up at 6'0 355lbs but alas the elastic does not give enough around the calf to make wearing them feasible. My calves are 19 inches and the constriction is too much. I don't even know if I can send them back but I will check. Next time I know that I'm going to have to go in person and see for myself. I like the quality and the color a lot. The thickness was great and they look good. Just wish I could wear them for the wedding I have in Jan. LOL. (Posted on 12/27/2015) - Best Hose Hands Down! Quality Price Value Rocky was able to send the Lewis Hose in grey when the website didn't allow the choice. I wore these all day and then ordered two more sets as the price is great. Very comfortable Hose! (Posted on 12/16/2014)
