Do you need a swatch of a wool tartan for color matching purposes for your wedding? Would you like to see a piece of the cloth before committing to a full kilt? Are you looking for a pair of hand knit hose to match your kilt, but don't have the right colors to match? Order a swatch of cloth!
Please note: Wool Swatches are ordered from the mills in the UK, so swatch orders will take 2 - 4 weeks to ship. Please factor that in when working on a deadline.
If you order a swatch and later purchase a kilt in that tartan, you can request that we refund your swatch price once you place the kilt order.

Quality Price Value I ordered 11oz swatches in Irvine and MacCauley and they are very nice. The quality of the wool is very nice. It does not feel as if it is itchy at all. Quality Price Value Ordered Swatches in Ferguson Modern, Ancient, Weathered, and Balquhidder. For me this wasn't in order to chose a tartan for a kilt, but to take with me to festivals and games during which I host a clan tent for the Clan Ferguson Societyof N.A. Price Value Quality I have been researching different non-clan tartan designs for a possible kilt purchase in the spring of 2018. It has been really fun to page through the different design on the USA Kilts webpages. Once I found a nice tartan design, I wondered how the cloth would look in person. I am here to tell you that the USA Kilts photos really do show the tartans well. My tartan swatch completely matched the photo on the website. If anything, the colors are more vibrant in person. You can really get a sense of the material by ordering a sample. I really appreciate that USA Kilts will refund the cost of the swatch later if you order a kilt in that same tartan. Quality Price Value I know that these swatches are coming from the UK and are inherently expensive due to the specialized nature of the cloth, but geez, $9 a pop gets pricey to compare colors and weights.
