This voluminous Wool Tartan Stole measures 24" by 90" with traditional fringed ends (1 1/2" fringe) and sides (1/2" fringe). You'll love how it drapes! Great for formal or informal looks -- from a night at the theatre to a day at the Renaissance fair!
Our Wool Tartan Stoles are made in the USA (in our shop) of 100% wool material, woven in the UK.
Please note: Since most tartans are only available in "double width" cloth, we may need to join 2 pieces of cloth to make your stole. If this is a concern, please contact us before placing your order with your desired tartan, mill and cloth weight, and we can advise whether the finished product would have a join or be made from a single piece of cloth.

Price Value Quality I ordered this stole for my girlfriend for Christmas to wear with her dress. The colors were perfect and the material is soft. USA Kilts made every effort to get it to me in time for Christmas and I do appreciate that.
What was not perfect was a large seam connecting two separate pieces of tartan cloth together. It was my understanding, at the time I ordered it, that a stole is one continuous piece of fabric. I was also disappointed to find an obnoxiously large tag for USA Kilts sewn onto the end of the stole. (I should have been given the option of a tag or no tag). Value Quality Price We are invited to a holiday wedding where they asked us to wear our holiday finery. My husband already has a Clan tartan vest so I ordered this shawl to wear with my evening dress. Imagine my surprise when I went to wrap the shawl around my shoulders and found a large seam down the middle. The manufacturer had taken two scarves and stitched them together to make the shawl!! I certainly can't wear that to the wedding. Since it's a"custom order" I can't return it so I'm stuck with something I paid a lot of money for and can't use. Not happy. Value Quality Price The shawl arrived carefully packaged in about 4 weeks. It is a long rectangle with about 3/4" fringe on all sides. It is high quality woven wool with a slight sheen to it. It drapes nicely and the sheen makes the folds of any draping stand out nicely. You can wear it all the typical ways: over the shoulders, pined closed in front, wrapped likely a chunky scarf around your neck, etc. But one of the great things is that I can also fold it in half length-wise and wear it like a sash: diagonally from shoulder to hip, wrapped around the torso and pinned on the shoulder, or pinned on the shoulder and draped over the back Highland dancer style. It is lightweight but wool so has some warmth to it. I love it. I wish I could post pictures here. (Posted on 10/27/2022) - Everything was perfect S
