This modern Celtic cross was inspired by the city and County of Dublin, Ireland. Like the city of Dublin itself, the design springs from ancient history yet has a modern feel to it. The cross type is one of the most ancient designs and may be seen throughout the country. The knotwork specifically is of the old " Pure Knot' type. Each knot is formed from a single line without beginning or end, symbolizing the Celtic vision of the interconnectedness of all life with eternity.
