What Do I Need for a Casual Kilt Outfit?

We'll say it again and again - the sporran is the most important accessory. It's really all you need to start out. But we do offer casual t-shirts and the classic highland shirt (aka ghillie shirt, Jacobite shirt or Grandad shirt) as well as hose & flashes, belts & buckles and kilt pins.

What Kilt Accessories Are Most Important?

As said, the sporran is most important. Otherwise, it all depends on how you want to look. If you are just getting into wearing the kilt, start small and work your way up to fancier items for a more complex traditional Celtic look. Our Pub Packages are great for this, or you can pick and choose accessories.

If you have a big event coming up that is the perfect excuse for going hog wild on your Celtic wardrobe, then reverse the advice above. Get a complete formal highland wear Package to save the most money on the outfit you want. Then add on less formal accessories here and there. We often suggest adding a simple day sporran to your Formal Package order so you have it for AFTER the ceremony.
