Scottish National Ancient

This tartan, created in 1993, is a universal tartan designed to celebrate Scottish Heritage. ANYONE can wear it. Designed originally for the Scottish National Party, it is now manufactured and sold without the political association. There is some similarity in the proportions of the sett to the National Tartan produced by the Scottish Woollen Manufacturers Association in 1934. The tartan was recorded by the Scottish Tartans Society in 1994.
