    Designed by Allan C. Drennan who created it in 1952 when it won first prize at the Kelso Highland Show as the Paisley district tartan. The designer worked for Anchor Mills in Paisley. It has since also come to be regarded as a family tartan for those of the name Paisley. The sett is also sometimes known as "Drennan".
