In Norse mythology, the great chieftain of the Gods, Odhin, keeps two ravens as pets. Yet truly these birds are in fact his servants; his avatars who bring him news of the goings on in Midgard as well as the other realms of the World Tree. They are named Huginn ("thought") and Muninn ("memory"). According to the Lore, each day they fly across the multiverse and return to their master to reveal what they have learned.
