This version of the Mackenzie tartan was included in the Sobieski Stuart's 'Vestiarium Scoticum' (1842) and in DC Stewart's 'The Setts of the Scottish Tartans' (1950) no.141. The design is based on the Black Watch by the distribution of the red and white lines differs from the traditional Mackenzie.
